West Philadelphia native Eric Williams is the Founder/Humanitarianaire of Project Elijah Empowering Autism. Humanitarianaire, this self-made title represents "Being rich from efforts and not by fortune.
PEEA is named after Eric's son Elijah (25 years old) who at the age of three was diagnosed with autism.
With no programs in Eric's community, he immediately became irate and believes "It's unacceptable not to have programs in place while the experts search for a cure".
With no knowledge of working with families with autism/unique abilities nor operating a nonprofit, PEEA was born!
Twenty years of serving the autism/unique abilities community by way of his lived experiences and hands on approach has equipped Eric with the ability to create innovative methodologies that foster and demonstrate his dedication to serving a population he lives with on a daily basis.
A motivational quote by Dr. Cornel West says "You cannot lead the people if you don't love the people. You cannot save the people if you don't serve the people" inspires Eric to inspire others and is a constant reminder of his philanthropic journey.
