West Philadelphia native Eric Williams is the Founder/Humanitarianaire of Project Elijah Empowering Autism. Humanitarianaire, this self-made title represents "Being rich from efforts and not by fortune.
PEEA is named after Eric's son Elijah (25 years old) who at the age of three was diagnosed with autism.
With no programs in Eric's community, he immediately became irate and believes "It's unacceptable not to have programs in place while the experts search for a cure".
With no knowledge of working with families with autism/unique abilities nor operating a nonprofit, PEEA was born!
Twenty years of serving the autism/unique abilities community by way of his lived experiences and hands on approach has equipped Eric with the ability to create innovative methodologies that foster and demonstrate his dedication to serving a population he lives with on a daily basis.
A motivational quote by Dr. Cornel West says "You cannot lead the people if you don't love the people. You cannot save the people if you don't serve the people" inspires Eric to inspire others and is a constant reminder of his philanthropic journey.
Ebony Moore joins PEEA with a wealth of knowledge, drive, and compassion for others. Ebony leads our Trauma Informed programs that include : training, evaluating and analyzing data while supporting PEEA’s mission and core values.
Born and raised in South Philadelphia, Ebony experienced a great deal of misfortune and did not become a victim of her circumstances. She used that adversity to help those in need, by establishing an initiative to assist families with food insecurity and homelessness.
Ebony is the first in her family to complete her graduate degree and believe that education is essential. Ebony holds a multitude of degrees and certificates/certifications: Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology, Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, National Certified Forensic Trauma Specialist, Certified Life Coach, Post Masters in College Teaching, Post Masters in Nonprofit Management and Leadership, Associates Degree in Healthcare Management, and a Diploma in Surgical Technology.
We’re pleased to welcome Ebony to the PEEA family and are confident that with her diverse background, tenacity, and compassion, PEEA will continue to grow.
