Is the Founder/Humanitarianaire of Project Elijah Empowering Autism (PEEA). My self proclaimed title of Humanitarianaire represents being "Rich from effort and not by fortune"
PEEA is a 501 (c) 3 organization established in 2004 and named after my son Elijah (23 years old) who at the age of 3 was diagnosed with autism. With no programs in my community, no experience working with families with autism or operating a non profit, PEEA was born!
PEEA host "FREE" year round education and recreational programs for families who are faced with autism on a daily basis who reside in underserved communities. Underserved meaning not offered in and not based on ethnicity, income or geographic region.
"It's unacceptable not to have beneficial resources in place while the experts search for a cure. If you don't know someone today with autism, you soon will"
"You can't lead the people if you don't love the people. You can't save the people if you don't serve the people" Dr. Cornel West
